Suir Valley Challenge

The Suir Valley Challenge is an annual inter-club competition originated and organised by members of Carrick Camera Club. All clubs are invited to have a say in the format and running of the competition. A perpetual trophy as well as individual prizes are competed for every December by members of four camera clubs currently consisting of Carrick, Clonmel, Dungarvan and Deise.

The competition format is a themed panel of eight prints with the winning panel being the highest total score from two independent judges.

There are also individual open themed entries with prizes awarded to best image in category of each club as well as overall winners.

The competition had to be held online again this year with an all digital entry but is hoped to be back to its original format in December 2023 with participants meeting at a venue.
