Our club photo exhibition can be seen at the Clonmel Library from Monday 30th June to Sat 12th July. There are 22 framed photos on display, each photo was taken by a different member.

The 2008 photographer of the year results where annouced at our AGM and we where pleased to crown Donal Mullins as our Club Photographer of the Year.

4 days ago I decided to review OnOnes Genuine Fractals 5. First impression, very impressed. The interface is easy to use as there is a qucik option and a more advanced option. The other great thing is that it is intergrated in Photoshop. This makes things so much easier. I also found that the process was quiet quick. I was expecting it to take at least 5 to 10 mins to generate. It usually took under a minute. The only down side I had about was the price tag. 160 dollars for the standard or 300 for the pro. There is an alternatrive available at half that price, QImage. I ran both programs on the same image and the results where amazingly close.
I came across this while looking for ways to enhance my prints. OnOne Software. They provide plugins for Photoshop to do various tasks with your photos. The plugin I was interested in was Genuine Fractals 5. It was a way of letting you get large prints from small images. For example, if you had a 6×4 image and wanted to get it blown up to 18×12, normally you would get pixelation, frayed edges and all sorts of others issues. Basically the print would look crap. With this application though, you can enlarge Images up to 1,000% or more. Sounds to good to be true. Well, I am about to download a trial version and put it to the test. Have a look at the website OnOne Software. They have a ton of different plugins.
