Christmas Party 2025

In December, the club held its annual Christmas Party in the Coachman. It was a terrific night and a huge shout out to Ger, Maria and Siobhan for the massive effort in organizing the night. We had the POTY awards, a highly intellectual quiz, a secret santa and the the real Santa paid a visit as well! And of course, Angela's Mum provided some lovely desserts yet again!

Exhibition Highlights

The club holds an annual Photographic exhibition in Clonmel which showcases the work of the members. In 2025, the exhibition comprised 51 pictures and was acknowledged as a success by the public and professionals alike!

We also participate in local, regional and national exhibits and competitions.

Huge Congratulations to Nicola Corboy on her LIPF (Licentiate Irish Photographic Federation) distinction awarded at the IPF sitting in Nov 25.

Her panel reflects the variety of photographic skills needed for this accreditation.

Costa Masnaga Camera Club

Costa Masnaga, Italy is the birthplace of Charles Bianconi and has been twinned with Clonmel since 1976. The camera clubs in both towns have a monthly challenge through our joint Facebook page with a different theme each month and each club votes on the other's photographs. The January theme was "Cold" and the winners were Maurizio Cappellini for Costa Masnaga and Bob Greaney for Clonmel.

Also in 2025, Sinclair (Rusty) Adair achieved the highest distinction, Fellowship of the Irish Photographic Federation. He did this with his unique style of portraiture which is both impressive and inspiring.

FIPF Accreditation

The club organizes trips both in Ireland and overseas which open up new photographic experiences to members. In April 2025, the club went to Venice and by all accounts, left their mark on this beautiful city!

As part of the Clonmel Arts Festival in 2025, the club produced the Photography - Haiku Exhibition in conjunction with Haiku Master Sean O'Connor and photographer Kevin Lim.

Angela Prendergast has achieved her LIPF (Licentiate Irish Photographic Federation) distinction awarded at the IPF sitting in March 2026. Well done to Angela on this major achievement!
